The Rest of the day...

So, as mentioned, between plans of the thermostat, we had the electrician come and inspect the garage for code compliance. Unfortunately, we didn't pass due to the need to change the romex cable that runs through the conduit in the ground. Apparently code states that that cable isn't certified to be used underground--even in waterproof conduit. So, we have to change that out which includes putting in a junction box. The rest was good enough, of course that meant that things could be done to bring it up to code. So, we are going to get some device to attach all of the ground wires in the junction box to one neat location. No biggie...

Maybe we can do that tomorrow.

After the thermostat was in place and functioning we move outside. The stairs are now attached and our lawn looks a little less hick-ish. We moved on to the gutters (not part of original day's plans, but we all know how that goes.)

Kevin and I did the low sections, but decided for safety, it would be best to wait for the "ladder placing extraordinaire" (my dad) to help with the next, much higher, sections. Then Kevin moved on to making some center supports for our bed. The day ended with traveling over the Maggie's and watching The Taking of Pelham 123.

It was a full day!
